PENTAGON SL HUB
The Pentagon SL Hub reduces total weight of the hub by 70 grams per set and improves aerodynamics, while advanced heat dissipation ensures reliability even under extreme braking. The polygonal hub shape creates a secure flow of power from the tire to the disc, improving safety on long descents. For riders wanting every possible advantage, CeramicSpeed bearings are available as an upgrade.
R2R DESIGN – RIM-TO-RIM DESIGN
R2R, or Rim to Rim, is Lightweight’s proprietary spoke design used in the FERNWEG EVO PRO wheelset. Each carbon spoke runs in one continuous line from rim to rim, passing through the hub without any bends, breaks, or mechanical connectors.
This uninterrupted structure eliminates the need for weight-adding parts, like nipples or threads, which are prone to loosening or wear over time. By keeping fibers aligned under constant tension, the structure retains full tensile strength, outstanding stiffness, and long-term durability.
Each spoke is permanently bonded to the hub using high-performance adhesive. There is no material fatigue or loss of spoke tension, just consistent performance with every ride.
